Every little thing you do, think, or emote creates a ripple in the energy of the cosmos. Not only are you always leaving a trail of these deeds that some of us can decipher, but also, you are always leaving a karmic imprint in the universal energy. You can’t escape the consequences of these imprints unless you own your deeds, admit to them, face them, and do the inner work it requires to balance them. If you don’t do this inner work, the universal laws will eventually make you face them. That is karma - that is the universe in balance - those are the rules you incarnated into.
